Neutralization
Measured by its ability to neutralize CCL2/JE/MCP‑1-induced chemotaxis in the BaF3 mouse pro‑B cell line transfected with human CCR2A. The Neutralization Dose (ND 50) is typically 0.9-4.5 µg/mL in the presence of 0.15 µg/mL Recombinant Human CCL2/JE/MCP‑1.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. are available in the Technical Information section on our website.
Data Examples
Western Blot | Detection of Recombinant Human CCL2/JE/MCP‑1 by Western Blot. Western blot shows 25 ng of Recombinant Human CCL2/JE/MCP‑1 (Catalog # ), Recombinant Human CCL8/ MCP‑2 (Catalog # ), Recombinant Human CCL7/MCP‑3/MARC (Catalog # ), Recombinant Human CCL13/ MCP‑4 (Catalog # ), Recombinant Human CCL11/Eotaxin (Catalog # ), Recombinant Mouse CCL2/JE/MCP‑1 (Catalog # ), and Recombinant Rat CCL2/JE/MCP‑1 (Catalog # ). PVDF Membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human CCL2/JE/MCP‑1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB279) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # ). A specific band was detected for CCL2/JE/ MCP‑1 at approximately 11 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using . |
Neutralization | Chemotaxis Induced by CCL2/JE/MCP‑1 and Neutralization by Human CCL2/JE/MCP‑1 Antibody. Recombinant Human CCL2/JE/ MCP‑1 (Catalog #) chemoattracts the BaF3 mouse pro‑B cell line transfected with human CCR2A in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). The amount of cells that migrated through to the lower chemotaxis chamber was measured by Resazurin (Catalog # ). Chemotaxis elicited by Recombinant Human CCL2/JE/ MCP‑1 (0.15 µg/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse Anti-Human CCL2/JE/ MCP‑1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB279). The ND50 is typically 0.9-4.5 µg/mL. |

Background: CCL2/JE/MCP-1
CCL2 is a beta -chemokine that is also known as monocyte chemotactic protein 1 (MCP-1). It is produced by a variety of cell types and is chemotactic for monocytes.
