Data Examples
Immunocytochemistry | ORM2 in BG01V Human Embryonic Stem Cells. ORM2 was detected in immersion fixed BG01V human embryonic stem cells differentiated into hepatocytes using Mouse Anti-Human ORM2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB9306) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # ) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cell surfaces and cytoplasm. View our protocol for . |
Intracellular Staining by Flow Cytometry | Detection of ORM2 in HepG2 Human Cell Line by Flow Cytometry. HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line was stained with Mouse Anti-Human ORM2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB9306, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # , open histogram), followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # ). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # ) and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Permeabilization/Wash Buffer I (Catalog # ). Immunocytochemistry | ORM2 in HepG2 Human Cell Line. ORM2 was detected in immersion fixed HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line using Mouse Anti-Human ORM2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB9306) at 8 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # ) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm and nuclei. View our protocol for . |

Background: ORM2
Orosomucoid 2 (ORM2) belongs to the family of lipocalin cytosolic fatty-acid binding proteins. ORM2 is a key acute phase plasma protein. Because of its increase due to acute inflammation, this protein is classified as an acute-phase reactant. ORM2 may play a role in immunosuppression.
