General description

mouse eotaxin shares many of the biological and physical characteristics of human eotaxin. The chemokine exhibits a high chemotactic selectivity for eosinophils and belongs to the C-C family of chemokines, along with chemokines such as RANTES, MCP-3, and MIP-1α. mouse eotaxin is an 8.4 kDa protein containing 74 amino acid residues.

Reconstitution

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1 μg/μL. It is recommended that further dilutions be made into buffer containing carrier protein or medium containing serum.

Physical form

Sterile filtered and then lyophilized with no additives. The protein may appear as a haze or film that is difficult to see at the bottom of the vial.
