Preparation and Storage

• Reconstitution

  Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

• Shipping

  The product is shipped at ambient temperature. Upon receipt, store it immediately at the temperature recommended below. *Small pack size (SP) is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store it immediately at -20 to -70 °C

  Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Background: p53

The p53 tumor suppressor protein acts to enforce cell cycle checkpoints or signal apoptosis in cells that have incurred genotoxic damage. The ATR and DNA-PK_CS kinases phosphorylate p53 at serine 37 in response to UV light and other genotoxic stressors. This phosphorylation event results in increased p53 transcriptional activation.
