此款1350x1040像素的CCD相机提供了数码视频和数码图像两种记录方式，适合做动态观察及拍摄照片。由于可接收高强度电子束入射，使其可以直接拍摄电子衍射花样。782可与已安装的794、894一体化，以完成取代底片拍摄高分辨图像及电子衍射图像工作，并通过专用的电子衍射花样分析软件以实现衍射斑点的标定及分析。
