User Instruction

1.  Overview

This scope is featured with refra-reflect objective lens, which makes the instrument shorter, lighter, non-chromatic aberration and more powerful. It combines spotting scope and telescope two in one.

The scope adopts the Maksutov-Cegrain optical system. the objective lens has a focal length (F) of 1400mm, and its diameter (D) is 114mm. These features, plus its compact size and lightweight, make this scope suitable for long distance observation, sightseeing, birding, and hunting during the day, as well as observing stars and moon at night.

5.Usage     

Stabilise the scope on a tripod (by connecting the tripod to the screw hole under the tripod-fitting host of the scope, and tighten the connecting screw). Please do not try to make an observation while holding the scope by hand, as it can be quite difficult to view an object at such a high magnification power due to hand movement.

Adjust the height of tripod to a suitable level for observation. Care should be taken to keep the tripod locked and steady.

Turn the tripod host in azimuth and vertical direction as necessary. Care should be taken not to turn the tripod direction adjustment screw with excessive force.

Set the magnification power to the minimum level .

Aim at a distant object (at least a few hundred yards away – the further the better), and adjust the focusing wheel clockwise or anticlockwise until the image is clear.

Keep the eye as close to the eyepiece as possible (fold the eyecup down if you wear eyegles).

Use the eyepiece zoom to enlarge the image as preferred, and adjust the focusing wheel for clarity if necessary.

6.Maintenance

Because this is a piece of precise and delicate optical instrument, please adjust the system with ooth movement and equal power if possible. Prevent the system from shock and vibration.

Use a soft brush and lens cleaning cloth to clean the scope and the lenses when necessary.

In order to keep the damp from fogging on to the lens, please keep the scope in a higher temperature place for up to two hours after it is used in a cold and damp environment.

Warning:Do not use this instrument to directly observe the sun or other very bright, light-emitting sources, or it can damage you eyes.
